The Inclusive Chats: Episode 3 ~ Supporting Social Mobility @ Entry level

This is the first guest episode, where Helen & Lola are joined by the amazing Roxy Allen, who talks to us about how as an employer you can support social mobility by recruiting more diverse entry-level talent.

We talk through the advantages of increasing the diversity of your team at entry level, as well as some of the challenges that can be faced. Roxy shares some great advice about how to prepare for and support your young people to ensure that they are given every chance of success.

She also talks about what Entry Level Talent can do to make a great first impression and start their career in the right way.

It's not good enough that social mobility isn't decreasing, it needs to be improving and employers have a big part to play in that. Only 23% of recipients of Free School Meals earn above the minimum wage by the age of 25. Employers widening their potential candidate pool and providing more support to young people that need it can be at the forefront of the changes needed.
